UC RIVERSIDE

Riverside has a beautiful campus, some of the buildings look a little dated, but we saw a $10 million engineering lab, so they are spending money where it counts. This is one of the UCs that is still relatively accessible: UCR has around 20,000 undergraduate and is planning to add another 1000. It has a 51% acceptance rate, a strong engineering program, a new global business program, a new psychology building, and no impacted majors. Students planning on attending UCR are advised to sign up for the earliest orientations offered to get the classes they want. A bit of a commuter school that is working hard to change that image, 75% of freshmen live on campus.
